With the bonus 300 days of sunshine per year and very reasonable prices, skiing in the Champsaur is great value for money! Perched at an altitude of 1850m, Orcieres-Merlette joins the league of the big alpine ski resorts offering a full range of activities for all ages. The picturesque ski villages of Ancelle, Chaillol, Laye, Saint Léger Les Mélèzes, and Serre Eyraud offer more intimate skiing in authentic village communities. Still not sure ? Try them all – they are neighbours ! Beginner skiers will appreciate the gentle slopes of Ancelle, Chaillol, Laye and Saint Léger Les Mélèzes. Powder hunters will love (with caution of course) the off-piste routes in Laye, Serre Eyraud and Saint Léger Les Mélèzes. Children will adore the fun park in Laye (snowpark, sledging and boardercross…) For enthusiasts of other winter sports (cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ski joering…), the exceptional location of the Champsaur resorts and villages, at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, opens the door to some amazing experiences.
