The Valgaudemar cross-country ski area stretches for about twenty kilometers along the running or frozen waters of the Séveraisse. The tracks wind through the undergrowth connecting the many hamlets in a setting of immaculate snow.
Beginners or experienced cross-country skiers, the Valgaudemar cross-country ski area offers trails for all levels:
– Les Chamboux 1 km (green track)
– La Prairie 3 km (blue slope)
– Les Andrieux 12 km (red track)
– Les Ribes 18 km (black slope)

Snowshoes
The snowshoe ride allows you a different approach to the natural environment, the Ecrins National Park spreads out its immensity in front of you, hush… The Valgaudemar valley offers various snowshoe routes: the ‘Tour de Combalous’ in Aspres-les -Corps allows you, for example, to discover the hamlet of Brudour, rich in mountain heritage.
The ‘Tour du Brasque’ on the heights of Saint-Firmin, offers you an incredible panorama over the entrance to the valley and the Dévoluy. The ‘Cloutets walk’ in the town of La Chapelle en Valgaudemar from where you will discover a breathtaking view of the Olan and the Combe-Froide waterfall. Each circuit will allow you to appreciate the fauna, flora and heritage of Valgaudemar … And don’t forget to look up to admire the snow-capped peaks, here they almost all reach over 3000m!

Festivities
Valgaudemar is a sparsely populated valley but the dynamism of its inhabitants is unmatched when it comes to creating events. There is no shortage of opportunities to meet at an event during the winter: Valgaude Traineaux on January 5 and 6 (sled dog race), Big Fat’Gaudemar on January 12 and 13 (Fat Bike gathering), Valgaude Blanche on February 3 (races and cross-country ski hikes).
